Website Rewrite- Old Bakery and Emporium

Adding copy to an existing UX project

Old Bakery and Emporium

The Old Bakery and Emporium is a visitor center, a gift shop and an art gallery that exhibits various arts from local artist.

It currently doesn’t have of its own website but a brief introduction page on the City of Austin official website.

A few months ago, I designed a pseudo website for the business as a UX design project. During the time I only used the infamous Lorem Ipsum as a placeholder for the text because I was focusing on the design. Later, I learned that you should try to put real text as much as possible even if you’re just creating a low-fidelity wireframe. Well, that’s another story.

So this time, I added some copy to make it more real.

Final Deliverable

Assumptions:

  1. The business was opening an online store.

  2. SxSW was approaching, so the homepage hero image and message were about SxSW.

*The history was a direct copy from the current website. I broke it up into several paragraphs to increase readability.
