Email Newsletter samples
I’ve been creating a weekly newsletter since March 2021 for the team at my current job.
The goal is not only to provide the latest updates, but to give the team something to think about personally and professionally.
The newsletter consists of 3 parts:
Part 1- Anything that I’d like to share with the team personally or professionally. It can be something I’ve read, something I’ve experienced in the past, or interesting things I see.
Part 2- Process update, reminders
Part 3- Team shoutout, celebration
Since the audience is internal teammates, the tone in the emails is generally more relaxed and personal.
I also like to use intriguing titles to make sure the emails don’t get buried in other emails.
(*Part 2 and 3 have confidential information that I’m not able to share, so I’ll be only displaying part 1 of the newsletter.)
Sample 1
Email subject: I quit
Sample 2
Email subject: Well, that is weird
Sample 3
Email subject: I’m not guilty about it at all
I wrote a blog post about about what tools I’ve been using to find inspirations, and the lessons I learned from writing the weekly newsletter.
If you’re interested in the finding, you can read the post here.
